New 2017 RAM 1500 at Lynch Chrysler Jeep Dodge for Mukwonago, WI
The Ram 1500 is the lone half-ton pickup truck currently that also rocks a diesel engine possibility! It has a ton of standard features that drivers request often, like the Uconnect 8.4 media hub, a refined instrument cluster, an automatic dual-zone temperature control, a security alarm, a rear park assist, anti-spin differential, a remote starter, and a rear backup camera! The Bighorn trim this year keeps its interior atmosphere in check with a new automatic temperature control. And, the Sport model gains both a remote start and a security alarm. Rain-sensing wipers appear upon the windshield of the Laramie Longhorn, as well as LED lighting lights within the truck bed, SmartBeam technology, and Keyless Go-- all standard.
Under the 1500's Hood
There is an 8-speed automatic transmission on the RAM 1500, working well with a standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 engine. That 3.6-liter engine maintains 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The standard engine on the Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and Sport models is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that sees 395 horsepower and makes 410 lb-ft of torque (available for other models- besides the HFE model). The HFE model has the EcoDiesel engine as standard, which is a turbo 3.0-liter diesel V6 that gets 240 horsepower and churns 420 lb-ft of torque. The EcoDiesel engine is a potential selection on all models except the Rebel, Sport, and Express models. Both 4WD systems use a 2-speed transfer case and have low-range gearing. All 1500 trims use 5-link coil springs on the rear end and twin-tube shocks for the suspension. The Rebel model has an active-level, all-corners air suspension system as standard. Rear-wheel drive is also standard, or you can have a choice of two available 4WD systems. A Ram 1500 with the V6 gasoline engine can tow up to 7,610-lbs (correctly equipped), the diesel V6 can tow up to 9,210-lbs, and the V8 engine will tow up to 10,640 pounds.
Design of RAM 1500
The Tradesman, Laramie Longhorn, Express, HFE, Rebel, Laramie, Limited, Big Horn/Lone Star, Sport and the SLT are the models that buyers will be able to select from for 2017. A six-speaker audio system appears typically, which is more than sufficient for most truck drivers. The Ram 1500 has double Uconnect touchscreen choices (5-inch or 8.4-inch) which facilitate passenger's entertainment. The Rebel naturally comes in a worker-oriented crew cab style, which has a 5-foot-7-inch truck bed. The Rebel trim has features such as LED fog-lights, tow hooks, anti-spin differential, all-terrain tires, front/rear Bilstein performance shock absorbers (all other trims are rated heavy-duty), black fender flares, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, and the RamBox storage system (optional). The Limited, Laramie, and Laramie Longhorn models actually use 10 speakers combined with a subwoofer to get even stronger sounds into the cabin (as standard) with the Premium II package. This package also includes an Alpine sound system and a twelve -channel amplifier! Bluetooth, power-adjustable pedals, voice controls, smartphone integration, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, and a Wi-Fi hotspot all are put within the Ram 1500, so you certainly won't feel left behind in today's world of high-tech vehicles.
